13th Global Village International Children and Youths Bilingual Speech Competition
(Singapore Station)
The 13th “Global Village” Children & Youths Bilingual Speech Competition was organized by Goodtalk Culture Communication Co. Ltd, sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and Goodtalk Youths & Children Cultural Communication Center.
The aim of the activity is to provide a chance for students in Singapore and China to study Chinese and English. In the competition, students could learn Chinese and English through the cooperation and competition, and they could know each other’s culture better. At the same time, the competition cooperate with the promotion of “Speak Chinese Language Activity” in Singapore. Students in Singapore could learn to speak Chinese language through the expression of speech.

NUS High School Oratorical Challenge 2021
Oratorical Challenge 2021 was organised by the NUS High School of Mathematics
and Science. The competition aims to develop participants’ versatility
in oral communication, hone their skills in research and speech delivery,
as well as cultivate interest in scientific research and public speaking.
23 primary schools in Singapore participated in this competition and it was adapted to be in the form of video submission due to the Safe Management Measures requirements in 2021.

National Chinese Calligraphy Competition 2022
The National Primary Schools Chinese Calligraphy Competition 2022, jointly organized by Hong Wen School and Hong Wen Alumni Association, creates an opportunity for students to come together to compete, share and learn from one another while celebrating the festive joy of the Lunar New Year. Since its inception in 2005, the objectives of this competition have been to promote the appreciation of Chinese culture through calligraphy, and to provide a platform for students to showcase their calligraphy talents.

National School Games (NSG) - Wushu Competition 2022 (Senior Girls)
The NSG, which runs from March to August this year, is Singapore's largest and most extensive annual youth sports event with more than 250 divisional competitions for both boys and girls. Organised by the Singapore Primary Schools Sports Council and the Singapore Schools Sports Council, the NSG not only provides opportunities for students to participate in inter-school competitions, but also encourages character-building among student athletes as they pursue sporting excellence.
This will be the first time that student athletes from all 29 sports are able to participate in the NSG after it was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years. The Games were cancelled for the first time in 2020, since its inception in 1959, and were partially restored in 2021.

Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO)
SASMO is one of largest Math contests in Asia
It has expanded from 155 local participants in 2006 to more than 20 000
participants from 19 countries. More than 100 schools from Singapore took part in SASMO
It aims to arouse students’ interest in mathematical problem solving to
develop mathematical intuition, reasoning, logical, creative and critical
thinking

National School Games Wushu Competition 2022
The National School Games Wushu (Junior Division) Competition was held
at the Singapore Sports Hub this year between 1 to 4 August 2022.
Close to 700 participants competed across 41 events in the OCBC Arena.
Our team of 4 Frontierers demonstrated courage and resilience and performed
well in their individual events.

National School Games Badminton Senior Girls Competition 2022
The National School Games Badminton Senior competition was held from April
to end of May.
Our Senior Boys and Girls participated in this year’s competition and
demonstrated resilience.
Congratulations to our Senior Girls team for achieving 4th place

5th Text Recital Competition For Primary And Secondary Schools
This competition is organized by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language
Learning (CPCLL), in collaboration with Anderson Primary School and the
Singapore Chinese Teachers Literary Recital Society. The competition aims
to raise students’ Chinese reading proficiency, ignite their love for learning
the language, and deepen their understanding behind the connotations, rhythm,
and beauty of the Chinese language. There were close to 2000 students from
240 schools participated this year.



15th Annual Mathlympics
The aim of the competition is to promote interest in Mathematics and develop
problem-solving abilities for Primary school students.
The topics include Arithmetic, Number Theory, Combinatorics, Logic, Geometry, Measures and Measurement, and Algebra.


Singapore Primary Science Olympiad
The SPSO is an annual national competition which has been organised by
the NUS High School of Mathematics and Science since 2009.
The competition aims to provide an avenue to showcase students’ abilities in the subject and to nurture talents in the Sciences.




Thumbs Up Magazine by Singapore Press Holding
Launched on 15 January 2000, a 16 to 20 pages, full-colour Thumbs Up publication
is published every Monday (40 issues a year).
The recommended readers are Primary 3 to 6 students.
The magazine aims to cultivate the practice of reading Chinese articles
and newspaper, from a young age.
Our Frontierer, Yan Keyang from P6 Loyalty 1, has
done us proud as his artworks have been selected to be published in the
August and October issue of the Thumbs Up Magazine.


National School Games Wushu Competition
Yap Zi Qin (2CA7) achieved 13th place
in the 4-Duan Cudgel event out of 41 participants.
She has been awarded a Blue Achievement Pin for her efforts and resilience.

National School Games Sportsmanship Award
This award is given out to students who demonstrated good sportsmanship during the National School Games (NSG) Competition for Basketball, Rugby, Softball and Wushu.

Red Cross Youth – Director’s Award
This award is given to Richelle Tan Xi Wen, an Outstanding Link in the Frontier Primary School Red Cross Unit. Richelle has been specially chosen based on a series of achievements during her involvement in the Red Cross CCA. She is also an exemplary member of the unit shown through her character and involvements.
First Aid Competition 2021 (Gold Award) & 2022 (Bronze)
An annual event to raise the awareness of the importance and relevance
of first aid among youths, the National First Aid Competition is an exciting
time where Red Cross Links, Cadets and Chapters get to show off their
first aid skills. They also take the opportunity to raise awareness about
the importance of first aid.
Our Red Cross Unit has been awarded Gold Award in 2021 and Bronze Award in 2022.
Red Cross Youth – Excellent Unit Award (Gold)
This award is given to the RCY Unit for achieving a series of assessment
criteria for the year. The criteria is judged based on an overall score
and Frontier Primary School has managed to clinch the Gold Award for the
assessment year of 2021.
