Strong Fundamentals, Future Learning
I am privileged to be appointed the 2nd Principal of Frontier Primary School with effect from 15 Dec 2017. I am thankful to my predecessor, Mr Martin Koh, who had set up the school and helped shape Frontier to become what it is today, under his astute stewardship of 6 years.
As a school, we are guided by our Philosophy to build Strong Fundamentals for Future Learning so that we could develop Frontierers to be Confident Thinkers, Adaptable Individuals and Passionate Leaders. Thus, F@CE (Frontier’s Approach to Communicating Effectively) and Thinking Silhouette equip Frontierers with critical thinking skills and the competencies to articulate well via various planned platforms. Our danceFRONT offers customised programmes for the different levels so that all students are broadened beyond the academics to the performing arts, while being developed in broad-based movement and application skills. Premised on values, every child is given the opportunities to be trained as a leader under the eLF – exemplary Leaders@Frontier.
As a 6 year old school, our 2017 Primary 6s did the school proud with a 99.8% overall pass. We are thankful to the teachers for guiding the students well and our parents for their ardent support. Talia Astapura, who did well in her PSLE despite her profound hearing loss, aptly epitomises the school’s holistic efforts to nurture wholesome Frontierers who have the tenacity to overcome all challenges and be the best that they could be. We hope to be able to share more of such great experiences and stories in time to come.
I will lead my staff to continue our journey of forging new frontiers ahead. We will deepen our practices and embark on the quest of further progress so that the school will grow from strength to strength.
Make a Difference, Be the Difference
our School Motto that continues to inspire us ……….
